Frequently Asked Questions

What are your fees for therapy?

Therapy is an investment in your life and well-being. My current rates for therapy services are:

  • Initial 60 minute intake session: $200

  • Individual therapy 50 minute session: $180

  • Family therapy 60 minute session: $200

Do you accept insurance?

I only accept Aetna insurance plans. I an out-of-network provider with all other insurance companies.

Private pay means you pay for services out of pocket. Billing and payments are strictly between provider and client. It also means a diagnosis is not necessary to receive services. Please reach out to discuss which option works best for you and your family.

What if I have an insurance plan that is not through Aetna?

I am on Out of Network provider for all other insurance plans. I can offer a Superbill for Out of Network reimbursement. You can use the Superbill to file directly with your insurance company. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.
Please check your coverage carefully. You can start by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?

  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

Do you offer sliding scale or reduced fee rates?

Yes. I believe the therapy and mental health care should be acceptable to everyone. To make therapy more accessible, I offer a limited number of spots available for a reduced fee. Please contact me for more information

I want to start therapy for my child, but how involved will I be as a parent in the therapy process?

Excellent question. The short answer is that it depends on the specific needs and preferences of each client. Like all clients, children and teens have the right to confidentiality in their therapy sessions. However, if there is a risk of physical safety reported I may need to disclose information to parents and family to assist in safety planning and further support if needed.
Many child clients are aligned with parent “check-in” sessions. These can occur through phone calls or family therapy sessions.
